BU Basketball

Leading by just three points at halftime, the Bloomsburg University basketball team pulled away in the second half for a 86 - 67 win over Holy Family for their third win against two losses. In the first game last night at the Nelson Field House, the Bloomsburg University women’s team came from 12 points down at the break to beat Holy Family 63 - 54 to improve to 2 and 4. Both teams will be back in action with road games after the Thanksgiving Holiday break.

 

Run For the Diamonds

Matt Gilette has finished first, two years in a row in the Run for the Diamonds in Berwick. Thursday, in the 108th renewal of the 9 mile road race, Gilette, who hails from Orefield will try for his third straight first place diamond ring. The race starts at 2nd and Market Streets at 10:30. Coverage on the WHLM stations begins at 10 O'clock.

 

Top 25 Basketball

In top 25 men’s college basketball Tuesday night 16th ranked Texas A & M beat Penn State 98-87, and it was 13th ranked Notre Dame over LSU 92 – 53..

In the NHL... it was the Vancouver Canucks over the Philadelphia Flyers
