You have many options when it comes down to what to do with your parade entry. Remember we’re going to light up Downtown Bloomsburg with classic cars, floats, boats, fire trucks…and thousands of Christmas lights…the only limit is your imagination!

Start with basic ideas of what the holidays are associated with and go from there:

-Christmas Trees
-Gifts
-Winter Time/Snow
-Elves, but remember the “big” elf…aka Santa…will already be riding in the parade so please do not include Santas on your float.

And most importantly, LIGHTS LIGHTS LIGHTS!

Here are some websites that may help you come up with some parade entry ideas:

This is the big question. How do you put Christmas lights on your float entry? Remember, lights are the most important part of the parade…so you’ll want to use plenty of them.

Follow these links below for instructions on powering Christmas lights with batteries:

Where do you find all of the materials, including battery powered lights and inverters? You have a few options:

- Visit a local hardware store
- Visit a local electronics store
- Do an online search for “Battery Powered Christmas Lights,” or “AC to DC Power Inverter”
