Catawissa First United Methodist Church is hosting their annual “Trash or Treasures” rummage sale today…food will be available.


The Orangeville Public Library has their winter book sale happening today, along with an Oral Antique and Collectible Appraisal with John A Shuman III.  The library is located on Mill Street in Orangeville.


The Children’s Museum invites your kids to their penny party today…bring spare change, pennies, coins, and dollars to add to the exhibits fund.  Abe Lincoln impersonator will be stopping by.  The Children’s Museum is located on 7th Street in Bloomsburg.


The Free Saturday Trains program is open at Christ Memorial Episcopal Church in Danville today as usual.


The Black Creek United Methodist Church is hosting a chicken and waffle dinner today...cost is $10 for you, and $5 for your children ages 6 to 10.


The Bloomsburg Theatre Ensemble is hosting “Dance Your Heart Out for BTE” tonight at the Frosty Valley Country Club in Danville.  You can get more information on the BTE website, link up under Our Partners.


Tomorrow night the Bloomsburg University Celebrity Artist Series presents Luciana Souza with “The Sound of Brazil” at 7:30 PM in Carver Hall.  You can also find more information about that under Our Partners.


The March of Dimes Team DNA is hosting a flapjack fundraiser tomorrow at the Applebees in Bloomsburg from 8:00 to 10:00 AM.  Cost is $7.00 for you, $5.00 for your kids ages six and younger.


The Potts Grove Fire Company will serve up their monthly all you can eat breakfast buffet and brunch tomorrow from 7:00 AM to 1:00 PM.  They start serving brunch items at 10:00 AM.  The fire hall is located on Route 642 between Danville and Milton.


The Kidsburg 2.0 committee and the Bloomsburg Area YMCA present “Family Move and Groove Day” tomorrow from Noon to 4:00 PM.  There will be lots of activities happening…and it’s all free of charge.  Donations will be accepted to build up the Kidsburg playground funds.


St. Cyril Spiritual Center is hosting a scriptural Lenten series starting this Monday running for 7 weeks, they also have a Lenten Retreat Day on Tuesday this week.  Register for both of those things this weekend by calling 441-1496.


On Monday the Bloomsburg Police Department invites you to have coffee with them at McDonalds in Bloomsburg.  Get to know the officers from 7:00 to 9:00 AM.

BU Huskies Basketball

In college ball action Saturday afternoon, Bloomsburg University's Men's & Women's teams were on the road to face West Chester. The Women won 64-54. The Men's team suffered the loss of two starters to injuries; the game ending in a 96-75 WCU win. You can hear all the details with Jim Doyle in the WHLM Husky Post Game Report:



Boys HS Basketball

In Boys' basketball Friday night Central Columbia and Bloomsburg renewed their rivalry at the Bloomsburg Middle School gym. The Panthers took a 59-36 victory in the regular season closer.
