HS Football
The Bloomsburg High School football team tried to avenge their season-opening loss as they played South Williamsport in the first round of D4 Class A playoffs Friday. The Panthers were unable to pull out the win; the final was 32-16 South Williamsport. In the other Class A semifinal, Southern Columbia remains unbeaten with a 28-21 win against Line Mountain. In the District 4 Class AA playoffs Friday night, Danville beat Loyalsock 31-6 and Central Columbia fell to Mount Carmel 17-0.
Saturday's Game
Saturday afternoon at Crispin Field, Berwick played Dallas in a District 2 Class AAA semifinal. Berwick took the victory in that game 21-7. They will face Abington Heights in the Final.
BU Football
In college football Saturday Bloomsburg University ended the regular season with a 49-41 win at Slippery Rock, a game the Huskies needed to clinch an NCAA playoff spot.

BU Basketball
The Bloomsburg University Women's basketball team opened the season Friday afternoon against Chestnut Hill at Nelson Field House. The Huskies took a decisive 84-54 win in that game.
